Mother's Day
By Kathleen May

I had a litter and I'm called a dam.
My name is really Molly.
I don't know why I am a dam,
But a Westie MOM is who I am!

My pups are the best o'er all the land.
I feed them and teach them
As best I can,
For a Westie MOM is who I am!

Westie dam and pups

One day my daughters and my son,
Will leave me for another home.
My owner will pat me on the head,
And say, "Molly, job well done!"

Children are children o'er all the land,
Be they human kids or Westie pups.
Even tho' with pups, I'm a dam,
A Westie MOM is what I am!

Happy Mother's Day
